We, Ortolan Pty Ltd, acknowledge our obligations to all recipients of our services and products to collect, manage, process and use personal information in accordance with the laws and regulations of Australia including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This is used to inform you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data and personal information and who we share it with. We will not use or share your personal information with anyone except as described in this Policy.

We may request you provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to email, name and demographic information. We do not collect more data than is necessary for the purpose of our client work.

The information we request will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Policy, as well as in the Terms of Use.

Ortolan does not typically collect personal information but in the case it does we will never disclose your personal information to another organisation without your consent.

Our infrastructure is hosted in Australia using Google Cloud. They also possess some or all of the above information and are bound by the same laws and regulations that we are.

 

2. How we collect information

We usually ask for consent from users to collect, process, manage store and use personal information, as set out in this policy, as a prerequisite to use.

 

3. Accessing, Updating & Deleting Information

If you would like to access, update, or delete any of your personal information, or withdraw consent for us to hold any of it, you can request this by emailing the Studio Manager at studio@ortolan.com.au

 

4. Data Security

Protecting your personal information is important to us, and we will ensure it is stored securely in line with best practices and privacy laws. We acknowledge the data breach obligations we have in Australia and commit to promptly identify and respond to any breaches. Should a data breach occur, we will let you know within 24 hours, including what information was accessed.

 

5. Changes to our Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce users’ rights under this Privacy Policy without their explicit consent. We will post any changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (which may include email notification of Privacy Policy changes).

Any data you provide us will always remain your property. You confirm that any data will be your own, or that you have the right to use the data and that you will not be infringing any third party’s rights by providing it to us.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing all data collected on your behalf using our Platform will be stored securely in Australia on our Google Cloud Servers

Both parties must comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Legislation.

Both parties shall take and implement all such technical and organisational security procedures and measures necessary or appropriate to preserve the security and confidentiality of any personal data they control or process under or in connection with this document.

We like to celebrate the customers we work with on our website, using social media or in other marketing material. We will always ensure this does not include any confidential information but please let us know if you do not wish us to use your logo or for us to share that we are working together.
