Rooted in the founder’s Indian heritage and progressive aesthetic, Mastani’s launch campaign was conceived as a blend of place, craft and feminine power. Ortolan collaborated with New York–based photographer Will Davidson to shoot the campaign in Jaipur, creating a visual world that felt both cinematic and deeply connected to origin.
Our creative brief was to express feminine strength through a narrative that connected product and place. Davidson’s ability to capture power and beauty with cinematic nuance was central to achieving this. Shot in a 475-year-old palace using only natural light, and supported by a world-class crew and talent, the campaign launched the brand with a resonant message of heritage, modernity and bold, feminine confidence.
For Mastani’s Winter collection, new textures and sculptural forms informed the creative direction. On location, we built a visual world where the garments felt born of their environment — structural, tactile and tonal. A complementary studio component brought focus to the contrasting details and craftsmanship of the collection, creating a cohesive yet layered expression of the brand.
